November 2, 2007, Newsletter Issue #62: Keep It Safe On Educational Tours

Tip of the Week
Traveling safely on your educational travel tour begins before you leave home. Here are some tips for traveling safely.
- Make copies of passport information, driver's license and any important personal information. This will speed up the process of replacement if these get lost.
- Designer labels are best left at home. Dress conservatively so people won't think you're worth robbing.
- Leave flashy jewelry behind and avoid wearing items that will attract attention.
- Keep cash, credit cards and travelers' checks secure by storing them in a hotel safe or in inside pockets. Waist packs and handbags are an easy target for potential thieves.
- Don't forget about what's happening at home. Cover luggage tags so people won't know you're away. It wouldn't be nice to find you'd been robbed while out of the country.
