November 17, 2006, Newsletter Issue #13: Set Yourself Up For A School Tour

Tip of the Week

it's hard enough keeping track of assignments, school sports, pep rallies, and after-school jobs in high school. So how can you possibly prepare for your high school student trip? High school students can prepare for school tours by doing the following:
- Make sure parents have signed the permission for the trip
- Get passports or visas early if traveling abroad
- Make photocopies of important travel documents in case they get lost or stolen
- Collect a trip itinerary
- Pack a kit with painkillers, band-aids and antibiotic cream
- Leave unnecessary expensive items (such as flashy jewelry) at home
- Make sure to purchase health and travel insurance
- Get a guide book to plan for any free time
